Amplifying the Voices of PWDs
VOICE PWD CoP is an initiative of the linking and learning component of the VOICE Project in Nigeria, supported by Oxfam. This initiative is a network of non-profit organizations working together to pursue a common goal of mutual learning, advocacy, and amplification of the voices of persons with disabilities (PWDs). The Voice PWDs CoP provides a space for the disability community to Connect, share experiences and Innovate solutions to the multifaceted challenges facing PWDs and dedicated to advocate for inclusive education, healthcare, employment, climate action, and economic empowerment.
Since the CoP establishment in 2021, we have remained committed to advocating for the rights, dignity, and inclusion of persons with disabilities in Nigeria by Leveraging inclusive legal frameworks, Building the capacities of PWDs and stakeholders on disability inclusion, Providing accessible services and collaborating with key stakeholders to raise awareness and drive systemic change.

Objectives
1. Equip persons with disabilities and duty bearers with the awareness and tools needed for self-advocacy, employment, and active participation in society
2. Advocate for the full implementation and enforcement of disability-related legal frameworks to ensure the protection of rights and inclusion of persons with disabilities
3. Raise awareness that can change societal attitudes towards PWDs through education, media, and community engagement.
4. Build a strong formidable network with the right skills and knowledge to advocate for the right of persons with disabilities.
